heather

little croissant girl,
i left the worn bathroom stall
to find a shadow in the human
mall. while dust gathers at home
on books unread
i approached the metronome in my step

as i watched you
leaving the clothes shop
you walked with your friends and their lot
you looked around at a glance
our eyes met in a dance
or some times passed
as you left in the car
at last, wings fly through

you sit at dusk on your laptop
chatting to your friend
while the fire burns hot
in the back with mum and dad
all those times i know ive had too

in a mall a subway home
to the avenue
i rest lonely as a cloud
and sigh as i drop on my bed
thinking of my view
a memory unaware
i possess
that has a flair
to remind me
of the ghostly residue
that seeps in the dark
and the spark of the mall
two lovers sneak out
two lovers resume
i have one last sigh from within my heart
and close my eyes for one last reminisce
if i had a sister? i think the girl at the back door
giving visions would be you?
