outside

electrical disturbance
under telephone wires
crows counted jagged
on the line, shadows

under stones, moonlight
burrows down time
plugs and sockets, enter
a brisk smoke about the haze

of the nightclub, hollow shells
of houses make a shallow hell
within this street, glistening candles
invite the quiet heat stamping out

my sadness, winds blow
quite desolate, sweeping
the trees. brushing there
hair back. a disturbance

rushing up the staircase
gleaming out its shadow
a memory fleeing, im after
it out the window i see

raindrops evaporate
no talking to dressing gowns
and nothing to talk about
regardless of electric currents

i must go out
