dream annal #2

take my cloak
alcohol
doth clear my bony throat
and rattle in my stomach
to be evacuated by my skinny scrote
to add some foam to the river water

shes my own
a Milton daughter
an unseen visitor in my women's body
bequeathed by winds
that leave these two lovers sorry
they didn't see though they admit its there
so shall it be
i did not worry

i walk the stairs the door is creaking
i lie half awake and half me sleeping
i had a dream which made me cry
and an eldritch wean betook my eye
at the end of my bed half creeping
and then I screamed and she had fled
a shadow fleeting
yet I took this a ghastly premonition
of my wife's last breath
of that to come then lead by love then kept by death

the hawthorn, ah it was bloody
I fell asleep
and there I dreamt
I had a life that trod by feet I hadn't tread
but something was funny
about that notion except I thought i walked
by the ground that I could expect to lead me down
to which I trod
the drunk man half passed out
who dreamt
that he was god
