that calmed you, patch
keep close to the food you loved
the smile so human that from above

the beautiful creature
that took my traits
i never had heartache
burn as much in every feature

sweet innocence,the cheeky
missy creeping to
her favourite spots
under the cupboard
her presecnse in her room
if not hers
she had claimed it

a wishing charm
i feel lost in milton
and all about me
the soot-stained
nose to think of it
from the coal
now makes me weep

but ive discovered that
like every being
i have loved her
out of sight
and seeing that
she is happy
means all to me
we all happily sail
unaware to bask
