she was our light
a guiding sprite
comfy and cosy

she knew happiness
and had a life
unparalleled

though it does put doubt in me
about her pains
she bore a life
i think was worthy

and puts contentment
in my sight
and in my soul

we all are
happy like Aesop
that in this dog

her bonnie smile
her bark of protection
her work heavy attitude
all bear reflection

of her owner
a crazy old sod with ocd
a sense of humanity
I'm sure were mentioned

and instilled in her
an attitude that haunts me
but i will look outside
and see the light
amidst the fog
 a fable to tell
i love her now
in my heart
