I thought I would inform you as the layout is quite confusing
here is my special place (which if you know me is just about anywhere where I'm the dominant voice)
recently: I have just received two books - 1 is a collected poems of Allen Curnow, the other is Cilla McQueen's Poeta, both local poets who I am enjoying very much. My latest research interest is the Polish poet Czesław Miłosz. He won the Nobel prize in literature and my interest in him, mainly has to do with the fact I am trying new things in my poetry at the moment, and I feel it is obligatory to turn to a poet who writes in a language I cannot understand! I have also been reading stuff by German writers and quite obsessed with the dissident writers in the Communist Soviet Union. Music I have been listening to includes Mac Demarco, a Canadian Indie singer who would be right at home in the Dunedin Sound of the 80s. I have enjoyed re-discovering Tolkien, and going to local bookshops in Dunedin to recover treasures like Hans Christian Anderson, and various works by Johnson (Samuel, that is). I have been in Milton, writing poems and my brother made me a mug featuring this image (I'm very drinkable) which was made for Heteroglossia, a local Milton arts publication (tba):
I think I would like to do more photography. I would like to leave you with the impression that more is going to be added here...
One last thing, I haven't been watching much lately, but I feel someone has been watching me....
