when the moonlight
of a singing voice
is all you have
rove on
twilight fires burning
when light refracting
off a poison glass
strays on
retracting its frozen breath
and love is not golden
in its splendour
look upon the words
the different ways its heard
and whose reciting
on dewdrop paddocks
have tread
but capture the oaks ghost ember
and when the black waters piling
youll find love returning
on lost summer days
through the autumns binding
just read the words
recall the melody
and feel the blaze
of fire
reducing your veins
sweet crucifixion on a lyre
and youll hear the starlight singing
straying black laughter
chirpy bells ringing
god forgiving
every field creature
may our human voices roam
ever after
into new being
